Working Groups

Teach a Kid to Fish is a nonprofit organization whose mission in partnership with community members is to prevent and reduce childhood obesity by empowering Lincoln children and families to eat healthy and be active. To fulfill its mission, the organization provides leadership and vision to mobilize partners from multiple domains.

The November 2009 Community Summit to prevent childhood obesity in Lincoln presents the foundation for engagement of the working groups and their subsequent creation of the strategic plan to impact change in the most critical areas. The organization establishes these six active working groups (listed below) to spearhead a call to action in the Lincoln community.
