Resources

Our resources section is designed to help you find tools and links to other websites to help you and your family live an active, healthy, and happy life.
Choose from the Community, Families & Caregivers, Healthcare and Schools sections to access the information most relevant to your life.
The primary objective of this community resource directory is to promote the message of 54321Go! This message suggests 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, 4 glasses of water a day, 3 servings of low-fat dairy a day, 2 hours or less of screen time, and 1 hour or more of physical activity each day.
The resource directory is here to assist you and families across Lincoln to identify programs, places, and a variety of options that will help you to live and learn about active and healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices in your community. We will make every effort to keep this directory current. The directory will include up-to-date information on recreational activities, places to play and be active, and healthy food resources. The directory will highlight those resources that are affordable to those living on a limited budget.
The need for this resource directory has been mentioned many times in our meetings with diverse community organizations and healthcare professionals concerned with the growing epidemic of childhood obesity.
The resource directory will be available in numerous formats such as a web based directory, neighborhood specific print directory, and through the monthly Teach a Kid to Fish e-newsletter.
