Lincoln Schools in the Alliance for a Healthier Generation
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation (AHG, www.healthiergeneration.org), Teach a Kid to Fish, Lincoln Public Schools, and the Lincoln Community Learning Centers are working together to help ensure that Lincoln students have the opportunity to eat well and be active before, during and after school. We will need the help of parents, businesses, community members, civic leaders, and organizations to ensure success!
The Alliance Healthy Schools Builder Program provides real tools and solutions by taking a comprehensive approach and helping schools improve access to healthier foods; increase physical activity opportunities; enhance nutrition education; and establish school employee wellness programs. At the same time, each school can create its own local approach that matches the needs of its community. Find out if your school is one of 30 Lincoln schools signed on to the Healthy Schools program with AHG. Any school can click on the website link below and sign on to the healthy schools network.
