This Summit brought together local experts and stakeholders to increase awareness and identify opportunities to create community solutions for the epidemic of childhood obesity in Lincoln.
More than 125 parents, teachers, healthcare professionals, childcare providers and government, business, restaurant and faith community representatives gathered for the first step to reduce and prevent childhood obesity in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Participants signed on for individual working groups. The next step will begin the process of creating a strategic plan for Teach a Kid to Fish to achieve their mission, vision and goals.
